Building Better Governance Seminar Series

This series has been so helpful in providing ways of improving our governance. We are already reaping the benefits of some of the changes we have made. I would recommend the Cass CCE Building Better Governance series to anyone serious about improving their organisation.

What is Building Better Governance?

The programme is designed to be exploratory and incremental. It delivers a mix of short inputs sharing research and best practice alongside insightful group work, creating and combining to really extend our knowledge of governance for nonprofits.

The programme is delivered by Cass CCE’s governance experts and accompanied by web based materials covering both the basics and a write up of the discussions and findings from each seminar.

The topics covered include:

  • Demonstrating accountability
  • Board involvement in strategy
  • Running effective board meetings
  • Board reports and dashboards
  • Board evaluation and performance review
  • The relationship between the chair and the chief executive

The most recent series of Building Better Governance took place in May 2016. We are currently reviewing dates for 2017/18.
