The 43rd EWGFM Meeting
Welcome
The EWGFM welcomes participants to the 43rd Euro Working Group on Financial
Modelling meeting to be held on September 4th-5th 2008 in London, UK. The conference
will be hosted by Cass Business School, City University London, which is located
on the doorstep of the City of London, one of the world’s foremost business
and financial centres.
The Business School is Europe’s leading provider of postgraduate education across a broad spectrum of finance and management, housed in a building with excellent facilities providing and outstanding intellectual and physical environment for the meeting.

EWGFM
The Euro Working Group on Financial Modelling was founded in September 1986 in Lisbon. Its aim is to evolve financial models as solutions to problems faced by financial decision makers which are reflected in the group's objectives bellow:
- Provide and international forum for exchange of information and experience on financial modelling
- Encouraging research in financial modelling (new techniques, methodologies etc.)
- Stimulating and strengthening the intraction between financial economic theory and the practice of financial decision making
- Co-operating and exchanging information with other universities and financial institutions throughout Europe
The meetings of the Working Group are organised twice a year and addressed at scientists and representatives from financial institutions. The Working Group has about 450 members from 24 different countries.
