MBA and EMBA Careers Service

At the Career and Professional Development Centre our aim is to offer training and guidance in employability skills enabling you to make the most of your MBA and increase your chances in the jobs market. We will guide you on how to prepare and implement your strategy to achieve your own career objectives, whether you are progressing in your current career or changing direction.

The support we offer can be tailored to your individual needs and career objectives through our comprehensive range of lectures, workshops, personal advice and online resources. Our self-assessment sessions will help evaluate your strengths, motivations and values, and enable you to relate these to your career strategy.

From the start of term you will work with the Careers Team who will be available to support you throughout your time at Bayes. In particular, they will help you focus on your job search strategy as well as providing you with expert CV, interview and networking advice.

Industry specialists and career coaches are also available to help build a clear picture of your career options.

Alumni Careers Service

One of the many benefits of a strong alumni network is that it helps alumni and students to further their careers while staying in touch with the School. The Careers Team is committed to supporting continued career development following graduation and alumni will have access to coaches for individual careers and job search strategy guidance.

Our online system, Bayes Careers Online allows alumni to identify new career opportunities, access employability skills resources including subscription e-resources, e-learning modules, videos professional development workshops and factsheets.

Alumni also have the opportunity to be a part of the Bayes legacy by supporting the next cohort:

  • advise students over telephone or a skype call on the application processes in their company
  • provide company insights on campus for students wishing to promote company projects, internships and job opportunities to current students and other alumni, using Bayes Careers Online

Recruiters

The Careers Team work with companies by advertising vacancies to students and alumni on Bayes Careers Online, and facilitating company presentations, Careers Fairs and interviews on campus.

Our emphasis is on developing every candidate's employability skills for the corporate environment, and in doing so gain an in-depth knowledge of our graduate's strengths and experience.

Contact us if you are looking for a graduate with a particular skills set. We also endeavour to understand your business culture and recruitment needs to help you target the right people. Visit the recruiter's business pages to find out more.
