Candid Arts Trust

Candid Arts Trust is a registered arts charity based in Angel, Islington. The Trust has been working in Angel for 14 years and consists of three galleries, café, banquet room and 25 artist's studios. Their objective is to promote the Arts and arts education though exhibitions, websites, consultancy and community projects.

Their philosophy is: “Like architecture and interior design, the artwork that surrounds us can significantly influence the way we feel on a day to day basis. Thoughtfully chosen art work can lift and brighten and improve the look of your business and create a welcoming environment”.

Candid also runs a programme of events and classes, including life drawing and painting courses, singing and and poetry evenings.

The London Art Encounter

Three undergraduate Business Studies students from Cass have incorporated their degree into setting up The London Art Encounter, TLAE, as a company in March 2009.

TLAE collaborates with art galleries in London to promote artists’ work in the corporate and private client environment by displaying artworks currently not on show in art exhibitions. The aim of this is to create a mutually agreeable scenario for both parties involved by providing fine art to enhance the corporate working environment and whilst actively promoting London’s art scene and galleries.

Cass has recently become a client of TLAE and all of the art on display around the School and in meeting rooms has been sourced to complement the environment at the School.

Their ambition is to link the business world to art and creativity
